It all come down to whether the act will be enforced or not. It would be easy for it to become another well intentioned bit of paper that has no real impact on autistic people and their families. Raising awareness of autism among service providers alongside consistent monitoring and evaluation of its impact will be key to its success. By success I mean improving life opportunities for autistic people. |
